Great stuff, Jorge. More and more, I find my own sketching tends to be gesture drawings and thinking through construction. The finish is far less interesting to me. The reverse of how I drew when I was younger.
I love gesture drawing. There's something very rewarding about trying to capture a mood or attitude or action in a quick, simple sketch. It really helps train your eye. My drawing abilities have improved tremendously ever since I stopped worrying about doing finished drawings. Walt Stanchfield's "Drawn to Life" books were a huge eye-opener for me in that respect. I highly recommend them. Very inspiring.
