 Hi there. Thanks for swinging by.

Throughout my life I have always been eager to explore opportunities that would expand my artistic horizons and explore different ways of telling a story—particularly if they involve working in a positive, creatively stimulating environment where I would be challenged and encouraged to learn new skills. 

Putting this blog together has been like a trip down memory lane. Rather than simply listing the projects I’ve worked on I’ve tried adding some personal anecdotes here and there to help put things in context. I also want to try to give credit where credit is due to the many folks who helped guide me throughout the ups and downs of my professional career.

I’m currently a student at Animation Mentor. I recently completed their Maya Springboard program and just started Class 1. So far so good. :) 

Of course it's frightening (in a good way) how much I have left to learn. It's been a challenge. But I'm having a blast. I hope to always keep learning—to go beyond the comfort zone and push myself to do better work and be a better person. Disinterest in personal growth and a lack of desire to learn new things are the kiss of death for any artist as far as I'm concerned. Everyone at the school (students, mentors, and staff) have been super supportive and positive. I'm inspired by their enthusiasm and their eagerness to share their knowledge. It's been great! I can honestly say that going back to school is one of the best decisions I've ever made.

I’m still very much in baby steps mode when it comes to my journey in animation—so I’ll be curious to see where it all leads. I hope you’ll join me on my journey.
