Francavilla art

My first exposure to Francesco Francavilla's art was in the "Skeleton Cases" storyline written by Scott Snyder for Detective Comics. It is easily one of the best James Gordon stories ever written. Made all the more impressive by the fact that it takes place during Dick Grayson's tenure as Batman. If you've not read it, go out and pick up the hardcover collection titled "The Black Mirror" which reprints the entire run. Art duties are divided between Francavilla and an artist named Jock, who have radically different art styles, yet mesh perfectly for this story. You won't be disappointed.

Here's some cool artwork by Francavilla. I love the vintage pulp feel to his work.
Ben Grimm P.I. is one of my faves---very clever. :)
